Wooden pallets, when used according to standard practices, can fully realize their potential. They are less prone to damage during long-term goods turnover, extending their lifespan and reducing operating costs. What are some important points to consider when using wooden pallets correctly?

When using forklifts for turnover, pay attention to the pallet's rated load. Generally, the rated dynamic load of a wooden pallet should not exceed 2 tons. Sometimes, during pallet stacking, operators may lift stacked goods directly from the bottom pallet to improve efficiency, thus doubling the dynamic load.

Wooden pallets should be handled gently to prevent uneven stress upon landing and damage. However, in practice, gentle handling is impractical. This necessitates high impact resistance from the wooden pallet itself, increasing the durability of the pallet material.

Wooden pallets should be protected from direct sunlight as much as possible to prevent aging and shorten their lifespan. However, with continuous innovation in wooden pallet materials, new copolymer polypropylene wooden pallets are gradually becoming suitable for use in various outdoor environments. Wooden pallets are not prone to aging or deformation even after prolonged outdoor use.

When using wooden pallets with racking systems, attention should be paid to the pallet's rated rack load capacity; overloading is prohibited. This is especially true when using drive-in racking systems, where higher span requirements are needed for the pallets. If necessary, depending on the application, steel pipes may be added to the bottom of the pallet to increase its rack load capacity.
